Merle Haggard & Mac Wiseman, Timeless

Everytime I have photographed Merle Haggard, I must admit… It’s been intimidating!! This time however the experience was seasoned with Mac Wiseman! The combination of working with these two legends in the studio was like a close up look at fireworks, with salt & pepper (and me kinda feeling like a fly on the wall, spying on the secret sauce).
These shots were a casual, studio documentary. We also put together the packaging for their first duo CD  release for Cracker Barrel Music.
Bitter/sweet was the feeling, in the end… when we lost Merle, and realized that this was his last release. Sad to have lost the man, privileged to have worked with his team on this forever legacy. And certainly when hearing these two men, Mac and Merle together… that was a thrilling moment of history! Thanks Mac, and Thanks Merle!
